Instructions

  1. Sand your candlesticks down, getting rid of any varnish and leaving it with a smooth finish. Wipe down with a damp cloth.
  2. Paint the candlesticks in one coat of Resene Black White. Leave to dry.
  3. Wrap the masking tape around each candlestick. Paint the top half with another coat of Resene Black White, remove the tape, and leave to dry.
  4. Repeat, this time painting the bottom half with Resene Sakura.
  5. Leave a couple of hours to dry, and then fill with beautiful candlesticks.

Top tip:  If you’re keen you can introduce even more colours to your candlesticks. Simply choose more colours and divide off enough sections to suit the number of paint colours you have. For an extra touch of glamour, use a Resene FX Metallic testpot, such as Resene Rose Gold or Resene Copper Fire.

Step 3

Always ensure lit candles are under adult supervision. Always extinguish all candles before going to sleep. Replace candles when they are at least 20mm from the top edge of the candleholder.
