How to create your own pretty pen pots

Looking for things to do with used tin cans instead of throwing them out? Here’s a quick way to turn them into something useful and pretty – pen pots.
Pretty pen pots
You will need
- Wallpaper from the Resene Wallpaper Collection; Nikki used design GP5973
- Tins
- Ruler, pencil and scissors
- Super glue
Instructions
Prep: Make sure tins are cleaned inside and out and completely dry before you apply the wallpaper.
- Measure the wallpaper against the tin and cut to size. You can use leftover wallpaper for this or buy cut lengths from your Resene ColorShop.
- Glue the wallpaper and roll it around the tin. Leave to dry.
- Fill with your pens, pencil and highlighters, and enjoy your pretty and tidy desk.
Top tip: If the leftover wallpaper you have is quite plain you can paint in touches of colour using a Resene testpot. Simply paint in a small part of the design with a small artist paintbrush.
