How to paint your own glass bottle vases

Upcycle old bottles into quirky vases and give them a new lease of life. Perfect to add colour to your own home or gift to a loved one.
Glass bottle vases
You will need
- Large glass bottles
- Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer
- Testpot brushes
- Resene testpots in your choice of colours; Nikki used Resene Spitfire, Resene Sakura and Resene Gold Dust
- Masking tape
Instructions
- Making sure the bottles are clean and dry, inside and out, mask out where you want the stripes to be.
- Paint the base for the stripes with Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer.
- Once dry, paint over with the Resene testpots. Remove the tape.
Colour coordinate with freshly picked flowers and use them as a centrepiece on your dining or living room table.
Top tip: Try the same idea by using Resene testpots to paint small interesting shaped glasses to brighten up your windowsill in your kitchen.
