Make your own blackboard message tray
Create with paint! Projects from habitat by Resene
Turn an old unused tray into a fun message board to share messages or fun thoughts of the days with the rest of your family and guests.
You will need
- Resene FX Blackboard Paint
- Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer
- Testpot brush
- Tray
Instructions
- Wipe the tray clean and allow to dry.
- Apply Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer to help the topcoat stick. Or you can apply the Resene paint directly, but you may find the first coat skids around a little if your tray is very smooth.
- Apply Resene FX Blackboard Paint in two coats. Allow to dry.
- Write your fun message using chalk. Wipe off and change the message when you wish to.
Top tip: Use Resene FX Chalkboard Paint instead of Resene FX Blackboard Paint for a colourful tray message board.
