How to make your own cane mat artworks for your walls

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to add colour to your wall. Add a touch of colour to your walls by painting cane mats in your favourite Resene colours.

You will need
- Cane mats
- Resene testpots in your choice of colours; Nikki used Resene Havoc, Resene Rapture, Resene Ruby Tuesday and Resene Glorious
Instructions
- Wipe down the can mats to ensure they are clean and leave to dry.
- Paint each cane mat in your Resene colour. For a tone on tone look use a handful of colours in the same colour group. Nikki used Resene Havoc, Resene Rapture, Resene Ruby Tuesday and Resene Glorious.
Top tip: Try using cane sun hats in place of can mats for a bit of summer fun that you can enjoy year–round.
