The power to transform is just a brushstroke away, as these Resene projects illustrate.

Not every renovation project has to involve expensive structural changes to your home. Sometimes, all that is required is a freshen up and a change of colour.

These images from Resene show just how different your home can look with a new colour palette, no matter whether you are looking to make a dramatic statement in an entry hall, or wanting a more subtle look.

Karen Warman, Resene marketing manager, says paints recommended for broadwall areas include Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen and Resene Zylone Sheen.

Quick change – these walls are painted in Resene Tall Poppy and Resene Lush.

“These are waterborne paints that are low-odour and Environmental Choice-approved,” Warman says. “They are durable and easy to wipe down. And their slight sheen minimises surface imperfections, which makes them well suited to older and new homes.”

Resene Zylone Sheen is also available in a VOC-free version, which means there are no off gases. This helps prevent headaches, asthma, nausea, respiratory complaints and allergic reactions. It also provides a better working environment for the professional or amateur painter.

To help with your colour choice, Warman suggests checking out the latest Resene The Range fandecks.
