The exterior features varying hues of Resene Parchment. On the interior, the hallways are painted in Resene Bluegrass, which bridges the use of Resene Oilskin in the dining room and Resene Aphrodisiac in the bedrooms.

Resene has been at the forefront of green technology, pioneering moves to more environmentally friendly paints since the 1950s, when it introduced waterborne paints. In the 1970s the company removed the lead in paint products, and in 1996 Resene took a further step for-ward, joining the Environmental Choice programme. Today, Resene manufactures a wide range of Environmental Choice-approved paints, which help reduce the incidence of nausea, headaches, allergic reactions and respiratory complaints.
