Light paint colours on both the exterior and interior of the Landmark Homes Karaka house keep the look fresh and lively.

Resene colours from the Resene Whites & Neutrals fandeck were specified for the project. Resene Delta, a warm ochre tinged with grey, features on the exterior, and Resene Quarter Linen, a fine flaxen neutral, on the interior.

Resene Quarter Linen was used throughout the interior of the Karaka show home built by Landmark Homes. Resene describes the colour as a fine flaxen neutral that is lightly green tipped and airy. The colour provides a subtle backdrop to furnishings and artworks. Resene Quarter Linen is one of more than a hundred colours in the Resene Whites & Neutrals fandeck.

Karen Warman, Resene marketing manager, says paints recommended for exteriors include Resene Sonyx 101, an Environmental Choice-approved paint for maximum durability in exposed areas. It imparts a semi-gloss sheen, making it easier to clean than a lower sheen finish and easier on the eye than a high gloss finish. It's also available in Resene CoolColour technology when darker colours are planned.

Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen and Resene Zylone Sheen are recommended for interior broadwalls. These are also waterborne paints that are low-odour and Environmental Choice-approved. They are durable and easy to wipe down, so well suited to family homes.
