Both the house exterior and the interior colour palette, a mix of light and dark neutrals, were chosen to enhance the home's tropical ambience.

Resene Akaroa features on the exterior walls, and is also the main shade on the interior. This muted pebble grey colour from The Range Whites & Neutrals fandeck is paired with Resene Arrowtown, an earthy and dense neutral, which adds a dramatic touch to feature walls.

Dark master bedroom

To complement the natural timber flooring in the master bedroom, the walls are painted in Resene Akaroa. The ceilings and skirting boards feature Resene Quarter Akaroa. Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen paints were used throughout the house, to provide a durable, washable finish. This waterborne enamel is a low-odour, environmentally friendly paint.

Painted in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen, the interior also highlights an environmentally friendly paint option. The waterborne enamel is an Environmental Choice-approved paint that is well suited to family living areas, as it is tough, durable and washable. In critical light areas, its reduced side sheen minimises surface imperfections.
