Light enhancer

To enhance the light, open interior spaces and create a crisp, modern aesthetic, the living areas in the house feature a backdrop of predominantly white walls.

Modern aesthetic home interior

Colours from the Resene Total Colour System Multi-Finish range were used both inside and on the exterior of the home. In the atrium, a feature wall of Resene Chelsea Cucumber helps to define this large space and create a visual focal point.

Feature walls are still a very popular way to add colour to a space, says Resene’s marketing manager, Karen Warman.

“Greens have become the new neutrals. Green can be a grounding, optimistic colour,” she says.

The Resene Total Colour System includes a huge range of colours and colour selection tools, from charts through to virtual painting software. The Multi-Finish chart is Resene’s most comprehensive chart. It features 576 colours sorted into 12 distinct colour palettes for easy selection. All of the colours are available in handy Resene testpots for trialling and are suitable for interior or exterior use.

A feature wall painted Resene Chelsea Cucumber adds interest to the home’s spacious atrium. Its cool, restful tones contrast with the warm, rich timber floors and complement the stainless steel balustrading. This shade, and the home’s exterior colour – Roman Coffee – is from the Resene Total Colour System Multi-Finish range.
