To enliven this kitchen, the designer chose a Resene Metallics and Special Effects paint.

Using contrasting textures is a good way to make different materials stand out in a kitchen. For this project, owners Andrew and Emma Bull teamed dark American oak cabinets with a glittering gold-coloured glass splashback.

The metallic finish and glass help to bounce light around the room, and introduce a refined look to the Balinese-influenced design.
