Permanence

Colour has been used by project architect Jose Cordero to create a strong sense of permanence for the new building.

Additionally, Resene Tapa, the dark shade of grey chosen for the exterior walls, relates well to the simple, planar form of the building and the steel structure of the façade, Cordero says.

Peddle Thorp Architects chose the colour for the building from the Resene Total Colour System, which offers an extensive range of colours for any project. However, Resene’s trained staff will also mix custom colours for clients if preferred.

And to help clients visualise the finished effect of their chosen colour schemes, Resene offers its RenderRite service. This uses a combination of Resene EzyPaint and Photoshop technologies to deliver fully rendered images of your building.

Haydn & Rollett’s new building has been finished in Resene Tapa, from Resene’s The Range collection. While the colours in the Resene Total Colour System allowed the project designers to achieve the look of permanence they wanted for the building, the technical aspects of the system ensure the building will continue to look good in the future and will be well-protected from the elements.
