Four ways with beanies

Convert your plain old beanies with these four easy beanie facelifts!

Unique children's beanies

Mr mohawk
We've had our eyes on this outrageous rainbow fur for a while. It wasn't cheap, but we just needed a small amount to create an instant mohawk.

Watching you!
There's huge potential for fun with this one. First we cut out bushy eyebrows from felt. Using the eraser on the end of a pencil as a stamper, we painted polka dots using Resene Dizzy Lizzy (green) and Resene Turbo (yellow). The sew-on eyes went on first, with the brows positioned behind.

Flower power
We cut flower shapes in two different sizes from felt, used a pen for dotted detailing, and sewed the flowers in place with a cute petal-shaped button.

Pompom mania
These pompoms came in a pack of assorted colours and sizes, so it was a case of instant impact once they were sewn on. Pompoms the kids made themselves would be even better.
