The owners wanted to create the master bedroom and ensuite they had always wanted, which was an open plan master suite that had a sophisticated and relaxing palette.

When this home was built 10 years ago, the master bedroom was never completely finished. The owners wanted to create the master bedroom and ensuite they had always wanted, which was an open plan master suite that had a sophisticated and relaxing palette. The Resene colour selected for the general walls created a relaxing a neural backdrop to layer the many shades of grey, blue and neutral beiges on top of. Using such a bold colour on the wall, also allowed for a more neutral accessory palette, which complements the relaxed coast lifestyle of this Queensland family.

Not only is this home within close proximity to the ocean, the owners also have a close connection to the coast. Blue was a natural colour to turn to. Resene Powder Blue is the perfect shade which didn’t throw too much green.
