Wendouree Relocation

Parraparrap

Wendouree House was built in 1920 as a part of the Geelong hospital department. It began life as a doctor’s surgery and residence, during its many years at the hospital it was used for many other health and wellbeing purposes.

In 1971 the grand old building was moved to its current location. Parraparrap is a small suburb slightly inland from the beautiful costal area past Geelong heading towards the great Ocean Road area.

House relocation and garden

The house was well in need of some attention and the owners choose to restore it to its former beauty, while creating a masterpiece with Resene Double Stack on weatherboards and Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel tinted to Resene Black White on the trims and woodwork.

Due to the age of this grand old residence the issue of practises of times gone by arose, with multiple layers of old paint to contend with. Resene Lumbersider was chosen for the repaint due to the age of the property, as its low sheen helps to hide the surface imperfections.
