Instructions

Step one:  Always wipe down drawers to prep them for upcycling. Remove handles to prevent paint ruining them. Lightly sand to prepare for the first coat of paint and wipe off sanding dust.

Step two:  Apply Resene Half Alabaster to cover the existing furniture colour. Alternatively you could use Resene Quick Dry for unvarnished timber furniture. For varnished timber furniture that has a smooth surface, use Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface instead.

Step three: Decide which drawers you wish to paint which colours. Megan chose to use two new colours – Resene Sweet Corn and Resene French Pass - to freshen and brighten the piece and give it a more modern look. Apply two coats allowing dry time in between. All done! This was a simple transformation that had an effective and updated look.
