Dominoes
It’s easy to create this fabulous set of dominoes with a little bit of help from Resene.
Resene Toys and Games with Mark Rayner - Project 22
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: 1.5m of 25mm x 10mm dressed timber, Clean cloth, Paintbrushes (including an artists’ brush), Pencil, Resene Quick Dry, Resene testpots of Resene Designer White and Resene Gunmetal, Ruler, Sandpaper, Saw.

Other ideas: Create traditional dominoes by painting each piece with Resene Black and the dots with Resene Alabaster.
Step one
Measure and mark a 50mm section of wood using the pencil and ruler, as shown. Cut with the saw.
Step two
Repeat step 1 until you have 28 pieces of wood.
Step three
Smooth the sawn edges with sandpaper and wipe off any sanding residue with a clean cloth.
Step four
Apply one coat of
Resene Quick Dry to the wooden pieces and allow two hours to dry.
Step seven
Begin to mark dots on each piece using the artists’ brush and
Resene Gunmetal.
Step eight
Continue until you have all pieces marked from ‘double blank’ to ‘double six’, as shown. Allow paint to dry.
