Doll’s pram

Revamp an old doll’s pram using a fresh combination of white and yellow Resene colours.

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Clean cloth, Doll’s pram, Paintbrushes (including an artists’ brush), Resene Quick Dry, Resene Enamacryl tinted to Resene Half Alabaster and Resene Paris Daisy, Sandpaper, Tools for dismantling the pram

To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Deep Blush.

Other ideas: For a bright pink and white effect paint the pram with Resene Alabaster and Resene Glorious.

Step one
Dismantle the pram and lightly sand any previously painted areas to ‘key’ the surface.

Step two
Wipe off any sanding residue with a clean cloth.

Step three
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to all the previously painted areas and allow two hours to dry.

Step four
Using the artists’ brush, paint the wheel spokes, rim and wooden handle with two coats of Resene Paris Daisy, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.

Step five
Paint the metal base frame and upright handle supports with two coats of Resene Half Alabaster, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
