Crackle pot
It’s easy to transform a humble terracotta pot into a colourful creation using a couple of Resene testpots and Resene FX Crackle effect.

You will need:
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Poppy.
Other ideas: For a more muted effect use Resene Triple Sea Fog over a basecoat of Resene Sandstone.
Step one
Remove any labels from the terracotta pot.
Step two
Wipe the terracotta pot with a damp cloth to remove any dust or surface residue and allow to dry.
Step three
Apply one coat of Resene Terracotta Sealer to the inside and outside of the pot and allow to dry.
Step four
Paint the inner rim and outside rim of the pot with one coat of Resene Adrenalin.
Step five
Once dry, turn the pot upside down and paint the rest of the outside with one coat of Resene Adrenalin. Allow to dry.
Step six
Apply one coat of Resene FX Crackle effect to the outside of the pot and allow to dry.
Step seven
Paint the outside of the pot with one coat of Resene Turbo and allow to dry. The topcoat will crack revealing some of the basecoat colour.
Step eight
Apply one coat of Resene Clearcoat UVS to the outside of the pot and allow to dry.
