It’s easy to create these super cool spelling stones using a few Resene testpots.

Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: 26 smooth stones, Medium and fine artists’ brushes, Resene Art Action Quick Dry, Resene testpots in the following colours: Resene Black, Resene Bright Spark, Resene Monza and Resene Sports Star
Top tip: In order to spell more words, you might want to create some extra letters – particularly vowels.

Step one
Wash the stones in warm, soapy water and then rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
Step two
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the stones and allow two hours to dry.
Step three
Paint nine of the stones with two coats of
Resene Monza, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step four
Paint nine of the stones with two coats of
Resene Bright Spark, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step five
Paint the remaining stones with two coats of
Resene Sports Star, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step six
Paint a letter of the alphabet on each of the stones using
Resene Black. Allow two hours for the paint to dry and then get spelling!
