You will need

To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Bowie.

Other ideas: For a warmer effect use Resene Gold over a basecoat of Resene Copper Fire.

How to make a textured abstract painting

 

Textured abstract painting - Step 1 Step one
Apply a generous coat of Resene Quick Dry to the canvas and then, while still wet, apply a layer of tissue paper to create a textured surface.


Textured abstract painting - Step 2 Step two
Carefully apply a second coat of Resene Quick Dry over the tissue paper and allow to dry.


Textured abstract painting - Step 3 Step three
Apply a coat of Resene Astronaut to the canvas and allow to dry.


Textured abstract painting - Step 4 Step four
Apply a generous coat of Resene Time Warp to the canvas, brushing in random directions to emphasise the texture. Allow to dry.

Carefully drip Resene Lucifer across the canvas in a random pattern, as shown.
