Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 19
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: Blank jigsaw puzzle, Paintbrushes, Pencil, Resene Art Action Tempera paint in the following colours: Resene Black, Resene Cool Blue, Resene Cool Yellow, Resene Light Green, Resene Orange and Resene White
Top tip: Blank jigsaws are available from most craft or hobby shops.

Step one
Using the pencil, draw a smiley flower shape, blades of grass, and a large bumblebee on the blank jigsaw puzzle.
Step two
Mix some Resene Cool Blue and Resene White paint together to make a pale blue colour and paint in the background – make sure you don’t put the paint on too thickly. Leave to dry.
Step three
Paint the petals of the flower and the bumblebee with Resene Cool Yellow and the centre of the flower with Resene Orange. Leave to dry.
Step four
Paint the leaves and stalk of the flower and blades of grass with Resene Light Green. Once dry, paint around the edges with Resene Black. Make sure you let the jigsaw dry completely, then mix up the pieces and get puzzling!
