You will need: Metallic stars, Paintbrushes, Piece of MDF (ours measured 400mm x 600mm), Resene Blackboard Paint, Resene Multishield+ gloss (now Resene Concrete Clear), Resene Quick Dry Waterborne Primer Undercoat, Space stickers,

Top tip: Space stickers and metallic stars are available from most discount stores and stationery shops.

Here's another idea: Create a night time fairytale scene with some blue metallic stars and a cut out castle and moon from an old picture book, gluing these into position with PVA glue.

Step one
Prime the piece of MDF with one coat of Resene Quick Dry and allow to dry.

Step two
Paint the MDF with two coats of Resene Blackboard Paint – allow at least two hours to dry between coats.

Step three
Apply a generous coat of Resene Multishield+ gloss (now Resene Concrete Clear) around the left hand edge of the blackboard and use this to fix the metallic stars in place.
