Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 69
Difficulty level: Challenging
You will need: Large cardboard tube, Paintbrush (a Resene testpot brush is ideal), Pencil, Piece of heavy cardboard, Plate PVA glue, Resene Art Action Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat, Resene Testpots of Resene Dizzy Lizzy, Resene Havoc and Resene Nero, Scissors
Top tip: To play the game, take in turns to throw a small soft ball at the target – the winner is the one who knocks it over the most times.

Step one
Put a plate on the piece of cardboard and draw around it with a pencil. Use scissors to cut out the circle, leaving a large tab on the bottom. Cut a 15cm length from the cardboard tube (you might need a grown up to help with this bit).
Step two
Cut two small slits along the top of the cardboard tube and slide the tab on the cardboard circle into the slits, as shown. Fix with PVA glue and allow to dry.
Step three
Paint the circular target and cardboard tube base with one coat of Resene Quick Dry and allow to dry for two hours.
Step four
Paint the base with two coats of Resene Nero, and the target with bands of Resene Dizzy Lizzy, Resene Havoc and Resene Nero. Allow two hours for each coat to dry – then take aim!
