You will need

To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Bunting.

Other ideas: For a pink effect use Resene testpots of Resene Ballerina, Resene Cabaret, Resene Deep Blush, Resene Geronimo and Resene Soft Pink.

How to paint an abstract painting

 

Step 1 Step one
Apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry to the MDF backing board and allow to dry.

Step 2 Step two
Apply one coat of Resene Anakiwa to the MDF backing board and allow to dry.

Step 3 Step three
Apply a second coat of Resene Anakiwa to the MDF backing board and allow to dry.

Step 4 Step four
Apply a series of rectangular brushstrokes of Resene Malibu to the painted board, as shown.

Step 5 Step five
Immediately apply a series of rectangular brushstrokes of Resene Lochmara to the painted board, allowing some of this to mix with the previous colour, as shown.

Step 6 Step six
Immediately apply a series of rectangular brushstrokes of Resene Endeavour to the painted board, allowing some of this to mix with the previous colours, as shown.

Step 7 Step seven
Immediately apply a series of rectangular brushstrokes of Resene Wet N Wild to the painted board, allowing some of this to mix with the previous colours, as shown. Allow to dry.

Step 8 Step eight
Replace the MDF board into the black frame.
