Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 75

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need: Paintbrushes (including an artists’ brush), PVA glue, Resene Blackboard Paint, Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat, Resene Testpots of Resene Curious Blue and Resene Malibu, Unpainted wooden picture frame with MDF backing board

Top tip: If you are using a plastic frame, use Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer instead of Resene Quick Dry.

Step 1
Step one
Glue the MDF backing board into the picture frame with PVA glue. Once this is dry, paint the frame and backing board with one coat of Resene Quick Dry and allow two hours to dry.
Step 2

Paint the backing board with two coats of Resene Blackboard Paint allowing three hours for each coat to dry
Step 3
Step three
Paint the picture frame with two coats of Resene Curious Blue, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 4
Step four
Paint spots around the frame using Resene Malibu and allow to dry for two hours. Grab your chalk and make a list!
